Ingredients:
- 1 cup of rice
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/3 pecan or pecan nut
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/3 of celery chopped
- ½ teaspoon dried marjoram
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 1 can of evaporated skim milk
- 1 cup cubed smoked cheese
Preparation:
1. Prepare the rice as indicated on the package, drain and reserve.
2. Melt the butter and mix with the walnut until coated and heat until bubbly.
3. Mix with mushrooms, celery and seasonings, cover and cook until tender,
4. then, we mix them with the flour and milk, cover and cook 25 minutes or until thick and creamy.
5. Add the cheese cubes and let stand, covered, for a few minutes, before serving.
