Crispy chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1500 grams of chicken.
  • 150 ml of milk.
  • 300 gr of fine cornmeal.
  • 300 gr of wheat flour.
  • 2 small spoonfuls of thyme.
  • 2 small spoonfuls of oregano.
  • 2 small tablespoons of ground pepper.
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet red paprika.
  • Salt.
  • Oil.

Preparation:

1. Cut the chicken into medium pieces.

2. In a bowl or similar container add 1 tablespoon of thyme, 1 tablespoon of oregano, 1 tablespoon of ground pepper, 1 tablespoon of red paprika, also add 15 g of wheat flour and 150 g of fine cornmeal, pour all the milk and mix well.

3. Add salt to taste to the chicken and then put it in the bowl, let it marinate for 12 hours, if you don’t have that time, leave it for a minimum of 2 hours.

4. In a tray mix the rest of the spices, what is left of wheat and corn flour and stir it, this is to coat the chicken.

5. Pour plenty of oil into a pan, put it on medium-low heat.
While the oil is heating, coat the chicken in the tray, which you have just mixed, so that it is well coated.

6. Add the chicken in the pan and fry it 2 or 3 minutes on each side, until it is golden.

7. When it is well browned, you remove it and put it on a plate on absorbent paper.
