Ingredients for 4:
- 2 cups white or Thai rice
- 4 glasses of water
- salt and a dash of oil
- 1-2 beaten eggs, to taste
- 4 tablespoons butter, or a little more
- 2-3 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 red paprika
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 1 white onion
- A handful of chives (the green part)
- 1/2 well of soy sauce
- A splash of rice vinegar
- Ground white pepper
Preparation:
1. First, you have to cook the rice, and let it cool to room temperature.
2. Meanwhile, make a fine omelet with the egg and chop finely. In a wok, melt the butter, and fry the garlic. Add the vegetables and sauté everything for a few minutes.
3. Then add the rice and the egg and with the help of two spatulas or two flat ladles, turn it around until everything is mixed. Add the soy sauce, vinegar and season.
4. Remove again and rectify the seasoning.
