Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons grated orange peel
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 kilo of chicken cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup chopped steamed green beans
- 1/2 cup steamed carrot pieces
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon oriental red chili or shirasa sauce
- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
Preparation:
1. In a deep bowl, mix the orange juice and cornstarch until the cornstarch has dissolved.
2. Add the orange zest, ginger, soy sauce, and red chili and mix well.
3. Heat a large skillet or if you have a wok.
4. Add the oil and brown the onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
5. Season chicken with salt and pepper and add to wok cooking until chicken is cooked through and onion is golden and crisp.
6. Add vegetables and orange sauce, mix and continue cooking for approximately 3 minutes or until sauce has thickened.
7. Remove from heat and serve
