Broccoli cream with cheese

Ingredients for 6:

  • 1 piece of broccoli
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 packet of cornstarch
  • ¼ kilogram of fresh cheese
  • ½ onion
  • 1 bar of butter
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth

Preparation:

1. Cut the broccoli into pieces and boil it in hot water. When cooked, drain and blend with a blender, food processor, or electric hand mixer until smooth.

2. When the broccoli is well crushed, reserve it for a moment, take a pot and melt the butter in it. Add the peeled and finely chopped onion, skip it for a few seconds and add the broccoli cream.

3. Apart, dissolve the cornstarch in a glass with a little warm milk and add it to the pot along with the rest of the milk.

4. Let the preparation thicken and remove it from the heat when it is ready. If you want, you can puree the cream with an electric hand mixer to make sure there are no lumps.

Serve the broccoli cream with squares of fresh cheese on top or fried bread cubes.
